Nityam Tablet contains Cassia Angustifolia, Castor Bean, Foeniculum Vulgare, Glycyrrhiza Glabra, Sanchal Powder, Sarjikakshara, Terminalia Chebula and Triphala as active ingredients.

Nityam Tablet works by activating the peristalsis of the colon; blocking the T- lymphocyte-mediated cytotoxicity; increasing the gastric emptying time; increasing the humoral antibody production; possessing the anti-inflammatory activity; suppressing the cyclooxygenase activity and prostaglandin formation; retarding the platelet aggregation; possessing the antioxidant activity; suppressing the activity of the tyrosinase enzyme; possessing the saponin triterpenes, flavonoids and other constituents such as coumarins, sugars, amino acids, tannins, starch, choline, phytosterols; restoring contractility of the intestine; relaxing the colon and decreasing the respiratory tract secretions; improving the digestive system and immunity; providing soothing effect; stimulating the bowel movement in 6 to 12 hours.

Zandu Nityam Tablet contains Triphala.
Triphala has three ayurvedic ingredients namely haritaki which is known as chebulic myrobalan. Secong herb in Triphala is bahera or bibhitaki or beleric myrobalan. And the third one is amla or emblic myrobalan. Terminalia Chebula or haritaki is helpful in the treatment of stomach disease. Triphala has laxative, purgative agents that cause evacuation of the bowel, and anthelmintic such as expel the parasites from the body action which is helpful in the treatment of constipation, indigestion, and intestinal worms’ infections. Amla or Indian gooseberry which botanical name is Emblica officinalis, manages all the three dosha's (tridosha) namely vata, kapha, and pitta. Amla is helpful in the treatment of constipation because it contains high fiber content which improves the digestion system. Bahera possesses laxative and purgative action which is helpful in treating stomach disorders such as constipation, indigestion, flatulence, abdominal cramps, and stomach upset.
Zandu Nityam Tablet contains senna leaves. Indian senna or which botanical name is Cassia Angustifolia, is used to treat constipation and abdominal distension such as gas or fluid in the abdomen due to senna’s strong laxative property.

Ricinus Communis Seeds or Eranda seeds oil is castor oil.
Castor oil is helpful in the treatment of abdominal tumours and intestinal worms’ infections. It works by increasing the movement of the intestines, helping the stool to come out. Castor oil is reduced to ricinoleic acid; it decreases net absorption of fluid and electrolytes and stimulates peristalsis; acts on the small intestine.
Zandu Nityam Tablet contains Saunf or Fennel or Mishrey which botanical name is Foeniculum vulgare. Fennel seeds may also relax muscles in the intestines, which can help relieve constipation. Soothing muscles in the stomach and intestines helps to relieve gassiness that's from constipation or acid reflux.

Zandu Nityam Tablet contains Sanchal powder. Sauvarchala Lavana or Kala Namak or Black Salt is dark coloured salt. Also known as Sochal Salt or Kari Uppu. The alkaline properties of black salt help reduce excess acid in the stomach and its minerals present help lessen the damage caused by acid reflux. It acts as a great laxative that helps relieve you from bowel problems.
Zandu Nityam Tablet contains Svarjiksara. Svarjiksara is impure sodium bicarbonate. It is commonly known as baking soda. When combined with some acids like citric acid or lemon juice, it gives away Carbon Dioxide. It has an alkalizing effect on the human body and that is the reason it is used in many antacids for fast relief from acidity.
It is also used as an ingredient in one of the home remedies for acidity and gas.
